All
classes followed a prescribed format and include a warm-up, cool down, and
stretch. Please notify your instructor before class if you need
special modifications, then get ready to burn!
Advance Step (AS) –
Step aerobics (maximum intensity), A challenging step-aerobics workout, intense push to the cardiovascular system utilizing the entire step while varying the direction and intensity. Followed by an intense toning routine targeting those muscles not used during the step routine, i.e., abs, and upper body. Plus a cooling stretch to increase flexibility. NO BEGINNERS!
Beginner Step (BG) – A very basic step-aerobics workout, Followed by a conditioning routine targeting those muscles not used during the step routine, i.e., abs, and upper body. Plus a cooling stretch to increase flexibility. ALL ARE WELCOME, but be forewarned this is for 1st timers!
Body Sculpt (BS) – A non-aerobic class devoted to thorough conditioning and sculpting of the abdominals, upper/lower body, and static stretching to increase flexibility. A great workout for SCULPTING and MUSCLE TONE.
Cardio Mix (CM) – An energetic low impact cardio workout incorporating traditional aerobic combos combined with muscle tonus work.
Cardio & Strength (C&S) – Build strength and stamina using either hand weights, bands, body bars, step and a variety of floor exercises.
Cardio-Boxx (BOXX) – The extreme in Total Body Conditioning! Jabbing, kicking, shadow boxing, and jump rope. You engage in a “Sports Specific” warm-up, and Cool down to some inviting TAI-CHI moves.
Cycle (CYC) – A 45-minute class that will blow you away. More than just a physical workout, super-energetic and motivating. You’ll burn calories and increase fitness with interval drills, hill sprints, speed play training all to your favorite Top 40 tunes, and music designed specifically for the cycle. No Limits here, this class will show you how to find the strength within.
Fitness Improvement Class (FIP) – Targeted to those who do not meet Air Force fitness, strength, and/or weight/body fat standards. Priority is given to FIP customers, but anyone can attend.
Hard Core (HC) – Build strength and stamina in the abdominal muscles while improving posture and balance using a Gymnastic Ball.
High-Low (Hi-Lo) – An invigorating aerobics class based on traditional aerobic combos of High and Low impact moves. We round this class
out with some body conditioning floor work and stretch.
Intermediate Step (IS) – Step aerobics (moderate intensity), followed by a workout targeting those muscles not used during the step routine, i.e., abs, upper body. Plus a cooling stretch to increase flexibility. *THIS STEP CLASS IS TAUGHT ON A BASIC TO INTERMEDIATE LEVEL.
Yoga Fitness (YF) – Is a balanced body/mind class. A Yoga format for Total Health ¾ a challenging and fun discipline that will keep your body fit. By stretching and lengthening your muscles, you will regulate your internal organs and balance your circulatory, respiratory, and hormonal systems. A great workout for the Mind, Body and Soul.
Yoga-Lates (YL) – This class is based on the PILATES methodology. A non-aerobic hour devoted to thorough conditioning and sculpting of the abdominals, and upper/lower body. A great workout for TOTAL BODY SCULPTING.
