It's important to get a good workout--everyone's time is valuable. But it is equally important to do it safely! That means using correct form and being aware of other exercisers. Don't hesitate to ask your instructor if you have questions. Consult
your doctor before beginning any exercise program. Please
notify and consult your instructor before participating if you have
any physical limitations or medical restrictions. Do
not enter classes after they have started.
Proper
warm up and cool down are essential for each class.
If you must leave before the end of class, please cool down and
stretch. Wear
the proper shoes. Well
fitting, cushioned footwear will increase your comfort & allow you to
workout safely. Start
slowly. If you need to
modify your level of exercise during class, please do and increase your
workout gradually. Work
within your target heart rate zone.
Heart rates will be taken throughout the class, or the instructor
will explain and use perceived exertion as a monitoring system. Exercise
at least three to four times a week. Don't hesitate to talk with your instructor. You may also speak with the aerobic coordinator personally if you like. Fran can be reached at (757) 303-FRAN.
